Voxu is an innovative addition to your wedding that reimagines the traditional wedding guestbook by offering a digital platform where guests can leave voice messages and selfies for the wedding couple. The process is simple, seamless, and affordable in which couples can set up a digital audio guestbook customised to their wedding aesthetic, generate a QR code through Voxu, and share it with their guests. Wedding guests in attendance or who are unable to attend, can then scan the QR code with their phones to leave personal voice messages and selfies, creating a cherished digital keepsake for the newlyweds.

The idea for Voxu was born from a real brides wedding planning experience! For their wedding, business owner Anna and her husband wanted to include a vintage phone booth and phone as part of their décor so that guests could record voice messages. As a UX researcher and designer working in mobile app development at Pocketworks, Anna tried several different options to achieve her vision, but with no luck. However, when a coworker heard about their goal, he stepped in to help create a digital guestbook they could use to capture voice notes and pictures.

The journey from bride to business owner is a testament to the power of entrepreneurial spirit and innovation. After her employer heard about the concept, the company pledged £20,000 to get the startup off the ground. I love hearing stories of start up funding especially in female founders, so this is a great company to get behind!
